| Project Introduction | The client, a toy manufacturer, needed a durable and highly detailed toy car body prototype for design evaluation, painting tests, and mold development reference. The shell features sharp contours, movable doors, window frames, and miniature structural details that must be accurately reproduced at a smaller scale. | Machining Challenges | The toy car body includes thin-wall areas and small detailed features that are prone to deformation during SLA printing. Surface layer lines also require extensive finishing, and movable parts such as the doors must maintain precise clearances after sanding and painting. | ||
We used high-resolution SLA printing with reinforced supports to maintain dimensional stability. Multi-stage sanding and primer coating were applied to achieve a smooth, paint-ready surface. Hinge areas and movable components were CNC-refined and repeatedly test-assembled to ensure smooth operation and long-term durability.

The final toy car model showcased excellent detail reproduction and high visual appeal. The client was satisfied with the overall realism, smooth finish, and durability, and used it for marketing, photography, and mold development reference.
